PeerCare was born from a deeply personal experience.

 During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aníbal Couto, our co-founder, and his family endured an agonizing 12-hour wait while a loved one underwent cancer surgery. With no updates or communication from the hospital, they felt helpless, anxious, and completely disconnected. 

That moment made them realize: no family should have to go through this uncertainty.

Determined to humanize hospital communication, Aníbal and our team created PeerCare—a platform designed to keep families informed, connected, and supported throughout their loved one’s medical journey. By combining technology, empathy, and innovation, we are closing the gap between hospitals and families, ensuring no one is left in the dark again.
